5 Chemicals that Break Down Poop
1. Very Warm Water
One of the easiest ways of dealing with hard poop is very warm water. It is true that water is not a chemical itself, but still, it is very effective when it comes to dealing with this problem.
What you should do is boil some water, leave it for a couple of minutes, because freshly boiled water could damage the inner part of the toilet and pipes, if they are made out of a heat-sensitive material, such as PVC.
So that is why you need to be very careful not to put boiled water directly in the pipes.

2. Liquid Soap

Anyway, what you need to do here is put some amount of liquid soap into the toilet, wait a bit then try flushing the toilet again.
What it should do is make waste material a bit more slippery, which would technically make it pass through the pipe.

It is a very common and popular solution, because it is very easy to use and because people usually already have these ingredients at home, so they don’t have to buy anything special.
In order to make this remedy, you need to mix 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of vinegar and pour it into the toilet.
Then, you should leave it like that for around 30-60 minutes, and it should do the trick and dissolve the poop so it could pass through the toilet drain.
If that alone does not do the job, you can again, try to apply method 1 and pour some very warm water in order to try to manage the rest of the waste.
Another similar solution is to use baking soda and salt instead of vinegar.
The method is the same, put 1 cup of salt and 1 or 2 cups of baking soda into the toilet and let it rest for 1 hour, then flush the toilet. If the problem still persists, again, try with very warm water.

If none of the home remedies we had mentioned does give any positive effects, you might want to try some of the more specialized products used for waste removal.
Why is this an effective solution you may ask?
Well, first of all, this type of products contains specific enzymes that have one very specific job, which is to transform solid waste material into the liquid. And generally, that is what you want to do in order not to clog your toilet with a hard poop.
Secondly, waste removal products are often more reliable and safer than other chemical products, because they do not contain materials that are capable of hurting the people, as well as the pipes.
And lastly, they are easy to get, since they could be found in any store that has something to do with house-cleaning, plumbing, and chemical supplies, which means almost every bigger general store, plus all the specialized ones.
Their only downside is that they are not capable of dissolving non-organic materials, like plastic. But since poop is an organic material, they are perfect for the job.
Products for waste removal are also very easy to use. What you should do is just follow the simple instructions labeled at the back of the bottle.
The instructions are very clear, they show the correct dosage, the time needed to get the job done and all the contents.
Generally, what you would do is pour the product into the toilet and leave it there for some time, usually overnight, so it would have time to act and resolve the issue.

And the last solution to the poop problem in your toilet, we will list the use of detergent and bleach. However, here we will have to invite you to be very cautious because this solution is not entirely safe if not used correctly.
So, first of all, let’s start with detergent. You can use detergent as a way to dissolve your waste material so it wouldn’t cause unnecessary cloggings in your toilet.
It is fairly simple, pour some of the detergent into your toilet, wait for a while and then try flushing the water. So, the idea is the same as with a couple of previous solutions.
Now, when it comes to using bleach, that’s where things get interesting. Or not interesting, if you are not the adventurous type.
So, yes, you could use bleach the same way you used other ingredients in all other methods, but in that case, you need to be very careful what you are doing. Because if mixed with wrong ingredients, bleach could really harm you.
The bleach is a hydrochloride, and thus if it comes into the touch with hydrochloric acid, it is capable of producing the chlorine, which is toxic to humans. So you need to be careful about how you use it.
It should be used with a pot of water. So pour some bleach into the toilet, leave it a bit and then use water from the pot to try to push the waste material. If that doesn’t do the job, try using method 1 again.
